Objective:
- To ignite entrepreneur development thought in undergraduate students.
- To enhance the practical knowledge in the field of identification medicinal and aromatic plants.
- To understand export/ import potential of medicinal and aromatic plants. To understand cultivation, quality, processing, production, marketing etc. aspects of medicinal and aromatic plants.
- To identify the opportunity for development of new products from medicinal and aromatic plants.
Pre Event Description :
The future of medicinal and aromatic plants is of concern as they have always been used for many ailments in Human and livestock. The training programme is conducted under the aegis of NAHE- IDP, a project being operated at Junagadh Agricultural University funded by ICAR, New Delhi for improving the competency of the undergraduate students of the university. These five days vocational training is conducted as a detailed roadmap for development of entrepreneur in undergraduate students of B.Sc. Agriculture. The training included speakers from different spectrum of field in relation to medicinal and aromatic plants i.e. Marketing, Entrepreneur, Farmers, Research scientist, Ayurvedic doctors, Biochemist, Tissue culturist, Ayurvedic trusts etc.
