Pre Event Description :
 
As per fifth Dean’s Committee recommendation a new Department of Fisheries Engineering was established from 29.04.2020. This is the first five days online vocational training programme on “Emerging technological interventions for fisheries and aquaculture development” organized by the department of fisheries engineering and it is also a first online training of the college in the year 2020. A main aim of this training programme is to high spot emerging technologies for fisheries and aquaculture development to the undergraduate students of college. A speaker in this training programme are expertise in their field across the PAN India as well as Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand. Starting from Global Seafood Production and Consumption Trends. This training programme covers emerging technologies like Block chain technology, Bio-floc, Recirculating Aquaculture System, cage culture, ornamental fish farming and regulatory requirement for fishery trade. Precision fish farming and Integrated Multitrophic Aquaculture type of intensive fish farming practice is also covered in this training. Nanotechnology intervention in aquaculture for management will help students for future research. To make this training programme interesting and effective we will give “Best Participant Award” will be given.
